Default Boxer loves couch and chairs

my boxer loves to sneak up on to the sofa and big chair in our living room. Problem is my wife says it's a bad habit for him to get into (he's 15 weeks old)

Any suggests on how to detour him?

Well, that's tricky since most pets like to sit on couches and chairs. This is one battle I've never tried to fight with any of mine.

I did see a product advertised a while back, some kind of "mat" that would actually shock the animal a little bit. Okay, I just did a search and it's called a Scat Mat. Go to this site to read about it: http://dogtrainingstore.com/Scat_Mats.htm

It seems like a great way to keep pets off furniture, so you might want to give it a try.

The problem is that boxers don't see themselves as dogs. Boxer really honestly believe they are humans. I've never met a boxer who wont at least try to get on the furniture.

All I have to say is good luck. If you figure it out, let the rest of us know.

Lol, Rich. I think you hit the nail on the head there. Maybe it's because we treat them so human? They're too lovable not to.

That is a great picture of Tie. Looks like he's saying "Ok...you caught me...but I'm still not moving".

Yeah but I have never took these kind of things as problem. But if you think that this is not good than just put his favourite things at down and seat also with him for a while.

Do some massage and told him to seat at down. This will work.
