Luke is just over 3 now and when he was just a pup we really tried to socialize him with different people and dogs.

One thing we did was take him to our local grocery store and just stood outside for 20-30 minutes with him. it was a great way for him to meet lots of people.

Anther thing we did to socialize him was taking him to the dog park.

What types of things did you do to socialize your boxer?

Keepers was a rescue so early socialization was out of our hands.

We did 3 different 6 week puppy classes with Boo and they were invaluable. I liked the controlled environment of classes.

The biggest thing I have done is take Laila to the dog park. She really loves it and meets all kinds of different people and dogs and isn't afraid of any of them. I also have a 6 y.o cocker spaniel who is terrified of people and we have been taking him to the park as well and he really seems to be loosening up and starting to be a little more social more and more

well i adopted tie when he was 3 so i missed out on some of the key times to socialize him properly. He was also abused before i got him as well which doesn't help.

but he has a few dog pals he loves playing with and any human who he meets
