Almost ever, any pointers? I say it sweetly and it still doesn't work.

And for the sake of not hijacking all of the Training section, how early do you start crate training? When is it too late?

If you have a treat and take a step back and say come will he come? It needs to be a game and as happy as possible. Don't try calling him outside to bring him in or he will never come again. Teach come in low distraction situations at first and then try teaching it outside or elsewhere. If he won't come at all try praising him when he just naturally walks over to you and say "come, good come" when he comes.

You can crate train at any time. We trained our puppy from day one and Keepers was crate trained at 3 years old.

there is all kinds you can do.. have you tried the bungee dog technique? where you put the dog on a lead and walk/slow run backwards away from your dog whilst shouting him come come come with a treat an then get somebody who is holding him on the lead to release him off the lead.. usually he will run straight for you, praise the heck out of him for it and then keep trying that for a bit untill you dont need a lead.

Thanks for the tips everyone! He is much better about it now that he is older. I guess it was just because he was/is a puppy.
