Hi,i have a 2year old bitch,who has become very greedy and if she is given food it is gulped down if for eg i give her a bone and i try to take it off her she clamps her jaw tight and growls,i am concerned as i have to kids aged 3 and 5 and i cant have this happening,as she could have one of the kids toys.Can she be trained?? as much as i love her i have to put the kids first

Behaviorist ASAP. Resource guarding is a very serious problem, especially with kids around. It can be fixed but a professional should be brought in.

Thank you for that,it took me 4years to presuade my hubby to have a dog,i decided on a boxer, so she is much wanted and loved,She has plenty to eat and is wormed,i dont understand why she has become like this and feel that it may be my fault,could it be that she is hungery and i should feed her more?i will seek help,it is only a small problem at the mo but,it could get worse.
