Hhere is a video of my boxer playing with his doberman buddy. Since the doberman grew up with the boxer, he uses many of the boxer playing techniques.

You'll also notice that face "biting" and vicious sounds they make.

This is actually pretty tame. When they're really wound up it sounds much worse.

That's some big pearly whites showing there! That's great they have each other to play with like that.

When were they taken from their mother and the rest of their litter?

Wally was HORRIBLE when he was little--those needle-sharp teeth were a menace to clothing as well as skin. As he has gotten older, he HAS gotten better. I think part of the problem was that he left his mom and littermates at 6 weeks old (way too young--but that was before we got him.) So, we were mom and siblings, and yelling 'OUCH' was rather amusing to him, at first anyway. We didn't really know what we were doing, but just kept shoving a chew toy or something other than a body part into his mouth and also telling him to 'be gentle' and praising when he was. He's much better now--still a tough guy though!

Lori & Wally

PS--yesterday, he got into our senior dog Carli's food bin. Destroyed the top and ate around 6 cups of food (best estimate). His tummy was like a drum! Laid around all evening and needed to go out in the middle of the night to get rid of some of the evidence! No matter how hard we try, he always manages to find SOMETHING to get into!
